Ala Alkhatib

Ala oversees the Foundation’s digital and web operations, collaborating on overall media and communications strategy. She manages webinars and other public engagement tools and oversees the Foundation’s website design and functions.

Prior to joining the Foundation, she managed communications and marketing at the Citizen Advocacy Center, a community organization dedicated to democracy building, where she oversaw social media, website, event planning, volunteer management, and other administrative functions of the organization.

Ala studied journalism at the College of DuPage. She believes that every community is strengthened by civic engagement, the essence of our democracy.
